November 9   Hilton Head Island Lantern Parade – Bring a lantern and join the parade starting at Alder Lane 7 – 9PM


Coastal Discovery Museum – What a fantastic way to learn about the beautiful nature of Hilton Head Island. Old and young can take part in tours, talks and exhibits. Honey Horn Plantation near entrance to Cross Island Expressway.

Heritage Library – Weekly Tours available to learn about Hilton Head Island and the Lowcountry. From Historic Bike Tours, Ft. Mitchel Tours, Chapel of Ease Cemetery Tours and even Hilton Head Haunted History Tales. Check the days of tours priced form $10 – $25 good for adults and children alike.

September 13 – Food Truck Friday Various kinds of food and beverage will be available for purchase from food truck and cart vendors at the Island Rec Center at 20 Wilborn Road 3 – 7PM

September 21  2nd Annual Hilton Head Island Shrimp Festival – Harbour Town adjacent to Liberty Oak in Sea Pines Resort. Event features food (shrimp of course) craft beer, live music etc. More Details to come

September 29   Latin Food Festival hosted by Volunteers in Medicine Clinic Hilton Head Island. Enjoy traditional fare, music and entertainment. 11AM – 6PM at Shelter Cove Community Park $4.00 Adult Entrance Fee Free for Children (Food and Drink sold separately)

October 10 – November 15   Crescendo, Celebrating Arts, Culture and History Sponsored by the Arts & Cultural Council of Hilton Head.  Opening night event will be from  5- 7PM 10/10 at the Shelter Cove Community Park with performances, exhibitions and light refreshments. The month will include readings, tours, creative activities, lectures and more. Link above for full details of events.

October 12    35th Annual Kiwanis Club of Hilton Head Island Chili Cook-Off  Support a great cause and try some fabulous chili. 11:30AM – 3:30PM at Historic Honey Horn cost usually about $15 ($20 day of the event) which includes all the samples you can eat. Entertainment and KIds Zone and more.

October 12 – 20  Historic Bluffton Arts and Seafood Festival   Enjoy the 15th annual event that showcases local seafood and cuisine as well as culture, history and arts of Bluffton. More details to come but it ends with a street festival on 10/19 & 20 along Calhoun Street showcasing a juried fine arts show, delicious food and drink as well as entertainment.

October 26    10th Annual Italian Heritage Festival Join the celebration of Italian Culture with food and live entertainment including grape stomping and pizza eating contests. Coastal Discovery Museum at Honey Horn 11 – 4PM $6.00 entrance fee Food and attractions extra

October 24 – November 3   Hilton Head Island Concours d’Elegance & Motoring Festival   If you enjoy cars and planes this is the place to be! Set between Savannah for 10/24 – 27  then Hilton Head 11/1 – 3 you will get your automotive fill.

October 6 Mindful Triathlon Try this fun 5K on Coligny Beach where you can run, walk skip to the finish line and then there will be 45 minutes of Yoga on the beach ending with 15 minutes guided meditation. $25

November 2   Nutcracker 5K Walk/Run  Kick-Off the Holiday Season with the Inaugural race benefitting The Deep Well Project of Hilton Head. Bring a toy and dress like a sugar plum fairy or any of your favorite character and of course there will be dancers from the Hilton Head Dance Theatre at the post race party. Meet at Java Burrito in Wexford Plaza starting at 7AM

November 9   Hilton Head Bridge Run 10K & Road Race 5K Fun Run  that goes over the Cross Island Expressway $30 – $50 Start at Crossings Park off Palmetto Bay Road

November 15 – 17  Pedal Hilton Head Island Ride Benefits the Boys & Girls Club of Hilton Head Island Ride for a good cause from 2 Mile Family Pedal to a 62 Mile Metric Century Group Ride as well as rides in between

November 28  Turkey Trot – Run or Walk this 5K/10k Family friendly event so you can gobble to your hearts content later in the day. Start and Finish at Hudson’s with the run winding through the back of Hilton Head Plantation – more details to come

December 24   Jingle Jingle Run 28th Annual Hilton Head Hospital 5K run starts the Holiday feeling good about yourself! $32 – $45 at the Hilton Head Hospital 7am.
