Coastal Discovery Museum – What a fantastic way to learn about the beautiful nature of Hilton Head Island. Old and young can take part in tours, talks and exhibits. Honey Horn Plantation near entrance to Cross Island Expressway.

Heritage Library – Weekly Tours available to learn about Hilton Head Island and the Lowcountry. From Historic Bike Tours, Ft. Mitchel Tours, Chapel of Ease Cemetery Tours and even Hilton Head Haunted History Tales. Check the days of tours priced form $10 – $25 good for adults and children alike.

September 21  2nd Annual Hilton Head Island Shrimp Festival – Harbour Town adjacent to Liberty Oak in Sea Pines Resort. Event features food (shrimp of course) craft beer, live music etc. More Details to come

Weekly June – August  Palmetto Dunes Turtle Trot 5K is a weekly family friendly 5K starting at the Dunes House – beach course for low tide weeks and road race other times. Packet Pickup 7-7:45AM   7/24, 7/31, 8/7, 8/14, 8/21,  $25 but no charge for Kids for 12 & under.

September 19 – 22  Wheelchair Tennis Championship part of the UNIQLO Wheelchair Tennis Tour at Chaplin Park Tennis Center and Hilton Head Resort. More details to come

October 6 Mindful Triathlon Try this fun 5K on Coligny Beach where you can run, walk skip to the finish line and then there will be 45 minutes of Yoga on the beach ending with 15 minutes guided meditation. $25
